Whether you're a start up or have been in business for a long time, Glass Accountants can help you meet your VAT responsibilities.

What is VAT?

Value Added Tax (VAT) is a tax collected from customers on goods and services which is then paid to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

Your business must be registered for VAT if you make taxable supplies/services and your annual turnover exceeds £85,000.

How we can help

Glass Accountants can help you decide whether you need to be VAT registered or not. We monitor our clients closely. This ensures that; if your circumstances change, we can inform you promptly and deal with all the necessary paperwork.

We can prepare your VAT returns on a timely basis either from your bookkeeping records or we can prepare it ourselves. If a VAT liability is due, we will provide you with the figure of the amount you owe, and details on how to pay it.

Glass Accountants also advised me on the pros and cons of becoming voluntarily VAT registered. They discussed what I needed to consider with regards MTD and what benefits I may receive in backdating my input VAT.
